Your users' career tools, now in their pocket
We're launching the new Access Careers Centre mobile app, a single, centrally maintained app that gives your users one-click access to their career tools and learning resources, wherever they are.
From 7th April 2026, users will be able to access the new app directly from within the platform.
Why we built a new app
Previously, clients who wanted a mobile app received an individually built app that required significant setup time and ongoing maintenance from both the Access team and the institution.
The new shared app removes that complexity entirely, meaning there's no separate submission process to go through and every one of our clients benefits from the same app, kept up to date centrally by our engineering team.
What the new app looks like
The app is called Access Careers Centre and uses a shared icon, so your users know exactly what to look for in the app store. Once they're in, they'll see your institution's branding and setup, just as they would on the web platform.
What your users can expect
The Access Careers Centre app is available on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). It provides a native mobile experience that wraps your existing Careers Centre platform, so everything your users already know and use is available on mobile, no content duplication or separate setup required.
On first launch, users sign in with their existing Careers Centre credentials. After that, the app remembers their session so they can get straight to their tools without signing in each time. The app also supports push notifications, so users can be alerted to new content and opportunities directly on their device.
What will happen on 7th April 2026
On this day, the old Access Careers Centre app will be retired. If users try to log in to the old app, they'll see a message letting them know a new app is available and where to download it.
All links within the platform will also be updated, so whenever a user scans one of our QR codes, it will direct them to the new app store listing.
To get set up on the new app, all users need to do is download it, enter their email address, verify with a one-time code, and select their institution. After that, they're in.
Available marketing materials
To help you promote the new app to your users, we're putting together some marketing materials including QR codes for both app stores. We’ll be in touch shortly to share these with you.
