How email verification works
When you set up your account, you'll now see a new Email Verification step, right after Privacy:
Click Send verification email to send yourself a confirmation link. It takes a few seconds, and you can also skip it for now if you're in a hurry.
Skipped it? No problem. You can verify your email any time from My Profile, where you can click Verify email next to your email address until it's confirmed.
Why email verification matters
It's quick, and it's worth doing. Until you verify, you won't receive job alerts, programme reminders or career updates, so it's the difference between missing out and staying in the loop.
It's also a good security habit. Verifying confirms the email address on your account genuinely belongs to you, which helps keep your account secure and makes sure things like password resets and account recovery always reach the right inbox.
Don't worry, skipping it won't lock you out of your account. You'll still have full access either way, and essential emails (like password resets) will always reach you, verified or not.
New and existing users
This applies to everyone, whether you're setting up a brand new account or you've been with us for a while. Existing users will also be prompted to verify their email, and can do so any time from My Profile.
