Use the duplicate feature in Dashboard Manager to copy landing page elements from one theme to another instead of recreating the same content manually. This helps save time and keeps your themes consistent.

The dashboard elements listed in the table below can be duplicated to other themes or to the same theme you are currently working in.

Considerations

Before duplicating elements, consider the following.

Duplicate elements are inactive by default

When duplicating an element to a target theme, it's created as inactive, giving you the opportunity to review it before making it visible to learners. You'll also see a reminder in the duplication window.

Only saved elements can be duplicated

If you have made changes on the page, such as unsaved edits or items marked for deletion, the duplicate option is not available for all elements on that page until you save the relevant changes.

Select multiple themes at once

When duplicating spotlights, bulletins and entire mission sets, you can choose one or more target themes. You can copy an element to several themes in a single action.

Theme labels help you identify theme types

In the theme drop-down menu, default themes are labelled (Default) and alumni themes are labelled (Alumni) so you can easily tell them apart.

Duplicate a Spotlight

Spotlights are the carousel slides displayed at the top of the learner dashboard.

To duplicate a spotlight to one or more themes, follow the steps below.

  1. From the homepage, click your initials, then select Admin Area.

  2. In the Dashboard Manager, select the theme that contains the spotlight you want to duplicate.

  3. Click the Spotlight tab.

  4. Find the spotlight you want to duplicate and click the duplicate icon in the spotlight's title bar.

  5. A window will appear titled Duplicate this Spotlight. Click the Select theme(s) drop-down to select the relevant themes to copy the spotlight to.

    • You can select one or more themes, including the current theme.

    • When you select more than one theme, the dropdown will display the number of themes selected.

  6. Click Duplicate to confirm.

The spotlight is copied to all selected themes. Each copy is inactive by default, allowing you to review it before activating it.

Bulletins are the items on the Bulletin Board section of the learner dashboard. When you duplicate a bulletin, all of its associated links are also copied.

To duplicate a bulletin, follow the steps below.

  1. From the homepage, click your initials, then select Admin Area.

  2. In the Dashboard Manager, select the relevant theme that contains the bulletin.

  3. Click the Bulletin Board tab.

  4. Search for and select the relevant bulletin then click the duplicate icon in the bulletin's title bar.

  6. Click Duplicate to confirm.

The bulletin is copied to all selected themes. Each copy is inactive by default, allowing you to review it before activating it.

Duplicate a Mission Set

Mission Sets are groups of missions that appear on the learner dashboard. When you duplicate a mission set, all the missions and their actions within the set are also copied.

To duplicate a mission set, follow the steps below.

  1. From the homepage, click your initials, then select Admin Area.

  2. In the Dashboard Manager, select the relevant theme that contains the mission set.

  3. Click the Mission Set tab.

  4. Search for and select the relevant mission set then click the duplicate icon in the Mission Set's title bar.

  6. Click Duplicate to confirm.

The entire mission set, including all of its missions and their actions, will be copied to the selected themes. The duplicate mission set and all of its missions will be toggled off (inactive), so you can review and activate them when ready.

Duplicate an individual mission

To copy a single mission instead of an entire mission set, duplicate it into one or more mission sets within a target theme.

To do this, follow the below steps.

  1. From the homepage, click your initials, then select Admin Area.

  2. In Dashboard Manager, select the relevant theme, then click the Missions tab.

  3. Click the name of the relevant mission set, then search for and select the relevant mission.

  4. Click the duplicate icon in the mission's title bar to open the duplicate window.

  5. On the select theme page, choose the target theme to copy the mission to.

  6. On the select mission set page, select the relevant mission sets within the theme to copy the mission into.

  7. Click Duplicate to confirm.

The mission, along with all of its actions, will be copied into each selected mission set. Each copy will be toggled off (inactive), so you can review and activate it when ready.
